As the first result of the acquisition that was announced in March, nextShop - Next's marketplace - will now offer Pix as a payment option to its customers. The payment method will be available gradually, until the end of this month.
In a note, the bank informs that other payment possibilities are planned for the coming months, with the aim of further improving the shopping experience.
With Aarin's infrastructure, Next's marketplace also plans to diversify cashback options and create customized promotions based on engagement and the analysis of customer journeys.
Another strategic front of Aarin with Next is the micro-entrepreneur (MEIs) and PJ customers. To lead this segment, the digital bank has recently hired Leonardo Koury, ex-Itaú.
"It is with great pride that we have concluded the process of this acquisition - Next's first," says Renato Ejnisman, CEO of the digital bank, in a statement. "Innovation is one of the pillars of Next and Aarin. Since we have an appetite to innovate, we will explore various possibilities that make the customer experience even more fantastic."
The purchase of Aarin was the first made by Next and, from the CEO's statement above, it should not be the last M&A. Created within Bradesco in 2017, the digital bank operates independently and currently adds more than 11 million customers.
