Specialising in expense management and corporate travel, the Santa Catarina-based scale-up Paytrack officially announced the launch of its new corporate card - the announcement was made during the Travel & Expense Summit, held by Paytrack itself in São Paulo (SP) on the 29th. The new Paytrack Card brings improvements and more functionalities, with the aim of reducing bureaucracy and increasing efficiency in expense management for client companies.
"We've always known that we wanted to be the benchmark company in cards for corporate expenses and travel and, with the high level of customer support for the product we already had, we realised that we needed to develop a new card that was even better in terms of technology and usability," says Lilian Schultz, the company's Product Manager. "We made the changeover process very smooth, leaving the customer free to sign up to the new card in the best possible way for their processes. The feedback is rewarding."
According to Lilian, one of the improvements most perceived by customers is how easy it is to visualise all the processes through the product, from opening accounts to withdrawing funds from the cards, including contributions via pix, for example.
"Other points that have been commented on a lot are the speed with which accounts are rendered, the traceability of amounts in real time, the autonomy in configurations, and the ease with which cards can be handed over or activated," he points out.
As well as covering day-to-day expenses, the new Paytrack Card can be used to purchase airline tickets, hotel reservations, transport, car parking, car hire, business lunches and coffees, subscriptions and online purchases. With a Mastercard flag, the card is accepted at national and international establishments, allows 24-hour withdrawals and proximity payments, as well as issuing virtual cards per transaction and the option of linking it to the virtual wallet on the mobile phone, eliminating the need for the employee to carry the physical card at all times. Features such as proximity payment and linking to the digital wallet are optional - in other words, each company can choose how its corporate card will work.
"We decided to link the card to travellers' wallets precisely to give them even more autonomy," explains Product Manager Lilian Schultz. "The customer can configure the cards linked to each CNPJ: some companies can have cards with proximity payment and withdrawal, and other companies without withdrawal, with payment by chip and password."
The use of Paytrack Card is enhanced by the combination of Expense, one of Paytrack's two core software packages, with Travel: using these tools, it is possible to organise advances, accounts payable, reimbursements, marketing funds, expenses for shops and branches and even home offices; as well as the purchase of services and all entries relating to corporate travel. With the combined use of the app and the card, client companies have more control over their expenses and offer more convenience to their employees.
Expenses paid via Paytrack Card, for example, are automatically posted in real time, making it easier to render accounts via the software and offering high traceability for managers: when a payment is made, the employee receives a push via the app with information on the approval of the purchase and the suggestion to render the account immediately, by sending a photo of the invoice. This helps to avoid problems if the bill is later lost, as well as preventing the generation of duplicate expenses: Paytrack's product architecture validates the information through a unique transaction ID, preventing duplication.
Expense also allows intelligent automation according to the flow of approvals; it enables automatic loading and unloading of the card (at the end of a journey, for example, the balance not used by the employee is returned to the company account); facilitates the management of cards and limits according to company policy (it is possible to issue multiple cards, without linking any of them to the individual employee, since the cards are associated with the organisation's CNPJ); optimises the company's cash flow through fixed fund management; and guarantees greater control over advances (blocking, for example, requests for advances from employees who have outstanding accounts).
"One of the great highlights of using the card via Expense is the availability of management dashboards for tracking, which provide analytical insights for the manager," adds Lilian. "Through these dashboards, it's possible to monitor in real time the available limit and the total spent for the month, check which expenses have the greatest impact on cash flow, track spending through the complete history of issues, and visualise which employees have the most outstanding accounts. All this enables proactive management, organising corporate expenses in a more strategic and data-driven way."
Paytrack is a comprehensive platform for managing corporate travel and expenses. Founded in 2016 in Blumenau (SC), the company has expanded its operations in recent years, establishing itself as the definitive solution in its segment. In addition to the Expense Paytrack and Travel Paytrack platforms, the scale-up also provides mileage reimbursement management and invoice reconciliation modules, an agency service for organising corporate travel, and Mobility Paytrack, for managing journeys via urban mobility apps, among other features.
Paytrack aims to become the leading solution for corporate travel and expenses in Latin America by 2025. In July, the company announced the arrival of Guilherme Rizzi, with 18 years' experience in the tourism market, as the new director of the TMC (Travel Management Company) business unit. The hire is linked to Paytrack's business expansion strategy, which already has 700 clients and one million users on the platform.
