The company has just received an investment of R $ 53 million from the American Ribbit Capital, which in Brazil invests in companies such as Nubank, Conta Azul and GuiaBolso.
“Ribbit's mission is to change the financial world, helping entrepreneurs who seek to transform industries and traditional practices. Onze is challenging the status quo in the pension industry in Brazil and we couldn't be more excited about this mission ”, says Micky Malka, a partner at Ribbit Capital, in a note.

Onze was created by entrepreneurs Antonio Rocha and Rodrigo Neves, former partners of McKinsey consultancy, with an eye on the corporate pension segment. Since its founding in the second half of last year, the company has already won 15 client companies, including Mobly. With the investment, fintech intends to expand its sales team and invest in new sales partnerships with brokers. The goal is to finish 2021 with 100 customers in the portfolio.
The market of almost R $ 1 trillion of open private pensions is concentrated today in the five major Brazilian banks. To change that, Onze has the challenge of proving to potential customers that it is a safe alternative. The path found for this, according to the partners, was to close a partnership with the traditional insurance company Zurich.
Using technology for management, Onze promises plans up to 40% cheaper for client companies. Fintech has developed a platform for managers to monitor product adherence among employees and monitor portfolio performance. In the application, there are more than 20 options of funds (own of Eleven and independent) to apply.
As for the end customer, the company offers its own application in which the user receives personalized product recommendations and can even request individual financial advice to think about their finances. "We want to give the client autonomy to manage his assets. Our product allows him to have continuous engagement with social security, taking advantage of the journey", says Neves.
In the business expansion strategy, the partners are looking for companies of all sizes that have not yet joined a pension plan as an option to retain talent, but are also eyeing companies that already offer the service to their employees and are dissatisfied.
Despite the low penetration of the product in Brazil in comparison with more mature markets, such as the American, about 13.5 million Brazilians have private pension, according to the National Federation of Private Pension and Life. "Our challenge is to be able to talk to these companies that already have plans, design scenarios together and show that our product can bring more benefits to their employees", says Antonio Rocha.
