ContaÁgil, an accounting startup created in Canoas (RS), has just received an investment of R$ 1.8 million (US$345K) from Ventiur, Urca Angels, Domo Invest, Bossanova and Poli Angels. The investors have already invested in the fintech on other occasions and increased their participation in a new round completed in June.
ContaÁgil received its first investment in 2020, when it participated in a Ventiur acceleration process, raising R$ 200,000. In 2021, the company received R$ 1.3 million from Domo, Bossanova, Urca and Poli Angels, which enabled a commercial offensive and the improvement of the technology.
According to the cofounder and CEO of the startup, Fábio Marques Pereira, the amount received will be used to accelerate customer acquisition and further improve the processes of using the platform. "We seek to solve in a simple way the accounting of small businesses, integrating financial and banking solutions to make the act of entrepreneurship faster and safer," says Fábio.
To gain market share, ContaÁgil bets on a product that combines accounting services, tax routines management, a digital account for legal entities and a platform for financial management of companies, with options such as generating bills and issuing invoices.
With the mission of making bureaucracy invisible to small entrepreneurs, the startup has expanded its user base at a rate of 15% per month and has just passed the milestone of one thousand active customers.
